Odds of randomly guessing a 4-digit combination lock? - calculate combination lock numbers
I have a 4-digit combination lock with a pocket. More in the parapsychology section that asked people to try to me (the combination of the long forgotten). With a combination of two answers, open the castle! I have the first two digits of a reply and the last two in another.
Although it will not be possible to reduce the chances of this happening to calculate the probability of guessing randomly lock to 4 digits (numbers 0-9, of course).

The probability is 1 in 10,000, since there are 10,000 possible combinations between 0000 and 9999.
The probability that two different numbers remain randomly 1 in 10,000, since every person is able to guess 100 digits 00 to 99 and 100x100 multiplier is equal to 10,000.
If you are using all possible combinations of digits 2 and the last two digits are the two different people, then the probability is 1 in 2500th Let us assume that the person known to 1 on the first two digits, such as A and B final digit and the person with 2 first two digits C and D, the last two named, that we can illustrate the four combinations such as: AD, BC, AC and BD.
One in 5000th
The chances that a person gets the first two digits is only 1 in 100, and the probability that person B receives the second figure on the right is from 1 to 100, then the combined probability of A and B, the numbers are right _in_this_order_ as others have said, 1 in 10,000. However, it is the combination of B, the first two numbers on the right side and gets two numbers from the second to the right, provided that you have asked every person who guessed four numbers, so that there are two possible outcomes with all with a success rate of 1 in 10,000, then the answer is 1 in 5000th
If you mean the possibility that someone guesses correctly, all four combinations generated and lower odds to 1 in 2500th
and if possible, 9999
They have less than one percent chance
However, it depends, how much time you actually try
one in ten thousand ... There are 10,000 possible combinations
1 in 9999
one in ten thousand
